Delegates attending the Abrasive Wheels Training programme will be provided with an awareness of the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER) as applicable to off-hand grinders and disc cutters. On completion of the Abrasive Wheels Training programme, delegates will also be able to demonstrate competence in mounting and dressing abrasive wheels.

Operators, technicians, maintenance teams and engineers who select, mount, specify, or use abrasive wheels as defined in PUWER Regulations 1998.
What will we learn?
The Abrasive Wheels Training programme will focus on:
- Handling and transporting abrasive wheels and discs
- Selecting and testing new grinding wheels and discs
- Fitting abrasive wheels and disc cutters
- Replacement and adjustment of guards and work rests
- Dressing of abrasive wheels
- Compliance with safety requirements in respect of the regulations
- The correct use of PPE
